About the Library

The Institute / College is serviced by two campus libraries, one on Caine Road and the other at Tseung Kwan O. Established in 2006, the Caine Road Campus Library has an area of about 9,000 sq. ft. and is located on the 3rd floor of the Caritas House, Caine Road. The Tseung Kwan O Campus Library was set up in 2009 and was subsequently named Mr Lam Sing Kam Library in memory of the late husband of Mrs. Lam, who made a generous donation to the Institute / College for the development of the Library. Covering an area of over 16,000 sq. ft., the Library is located on the 4th floor of the Central Building.

Each of the two campus libraries houses an extensive collection of books and journals for circulation and also comprehensive reference materials such as yearbooks, encyclopedias, government publications, university calendars and prospectuses as well as past examination papers of professional bodies.

Currently, the Library holds more than 100,000 items of books, journals and media resources. The collections cover various subjects, including Accounting, Business Management, Tourism, Marketing, Computer Studies, Design, Social Sciences, General Education as well as Language and Literature. The Library has been fully automated. Library users may access the library holdings via the Library Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC).

The Library also subscribes to a number of fulltext and abstract electronic databases. The databases are available on the web and are accessible via the Library's webpage.
