Friday	9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.	8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday	Closed	1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Public Holidays	Closed	Closed

Opening hours may be changed subject to the demand for use and staff availability. Any variations to standard opening hours will be posted at the entrance to the libraries and on the Library webpage at http://library.cihe.edu.hk

Library Services Hours during Typhoons and Rainstorms

• If the Typhoon Signal No. 1 or 3 is hoisted during the opening hours, the Library will continue to provide services until further notice.

• If the Typhoon Signal No. 8 is hoisted or the No. 8 Typhoon Signal Warning is issued during the opening hours, the Library will be closed 15 minutes after the announcement.

• If the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is lowered 3 hours before the end of the opening hours, the Library will open and resume services within 2 hours after the lowering of the Signal.

• If the AMBER Rainstorm Alert Signal / the RED Rainstorm Alert Signal / the BLACK Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during the opening hours, the Library will continue to provide services until further notice.

• If the BLACK Rainstorm Warning is lowered 3 hours before the end of the opening hours, the Library will open and resume services within 2 hours after the lowering of the Signal.
