  • Overdue notice will be sent to borrowers by email after the loan period expires.

  • Borrowers who have kept overdue books for over 14 days or who refuse to pay any outstanding charges (e.g. fines, replacement costs of damaged books or lost books) will be suspended from borrowing. Borrowing privileges will not be restored until such time when all overdue items are returned and fines are cleared or when a declaration is made by the borrower concerned that an item has been lost.
  • In case an item is reported lost or damaged, the borrower should be charged for the replacement cost of the item (the original cost of the item plus a processing fee of HK$100.00 per item).
  • Library materials are the property of the Library and users cannot keep the library materials even if the replacement costs have been paid.
