Young’s Corner

The Young’s Corner was created and named in memory of the Most Reverend Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. It featured a glass wall which was inscribed with motivational utterances made by Bishop Yeung as well as a kiosk where videos of his speeches were shown.

During the summer vacation of 2023, enhancement works were carried out at the Young’s Corner located at the CIHE Learning Commons of the Library. This renovation project was intended to establish a permanent place to preserve and present the legacy of the late Bishop.

Two focal points in the remodeled Corner are a large light box showcasing the key moments of the life of Bishop Yeung and a series of glass walls displaying his pronouncements on the development of youth and the importance of education in nurturing the young generations.

Opposite the light box, a glass cabinet has been set up to exhibit the relics of Bishop Yeung.

Members of the CIHE and CBCC community are most welcome to visit the refurbished Young’s Corner situated on Level 4 of the Library to pay tribute to Bishop Yeung and draw inspiration from his wise words.
